With all the talk of overfishing and the slow decline in fish populations, many believe that selecting farm-raised fish over wild-caught fish is the best bet.  If you are not supporting the ocean fishing industry, than demand will decline and the populations will increase - bonus for the lives of wild fish.  What many fail to realize, however, is that farm raised and environmentally friendly do not go hand-in-hand, especially with regards to salmon. In fact, many salmon farms actually do more harm than good, polluting the environment and the species that inhabit the farms’ surroundings.
