Grand Mantel for a Grand Fireplace

As we started to make plans to build our dream home, we came to a point where we needed some extra help.  My wife and I both wanted a huge fireplace in the grand kitchen area.  Our kitchen and great room are one big, open space since that is where most people congregate.  The problem was that we did not know what to put above the fireplace.  We really needed someone to show us some really awesome fireplace mantel designs.  Since the chimney will run from floor to ceiling, it needed to be a great scale piece.  We eventually got exactly what we both wanted.
