Left them Speechless
July 10, 2010 1:30 pm Reference and EducationWhen I was a little girl, my Dad told me a funny story that happened at his work. He worked on the 13th floor of a building and reported to work at 9 am. A group of men always rode the elevator with him to the 17th floor. Assuming he was a typical American, they used to have very personal conversations in French. He actually took french courses in paris, so spoke French fluently. When the men began talking about him one day, he let them until the elevator arrived at the 13th floor. He simply said: “Good day, gentlemen” in flawless French and left them speechless!
