Practical Nursing Assistant Training

Nursing assistant students have to undergo a practical training period in order to become more familiar with the actual duties or responsibilities. Their practical training has to be done inside an actual facility where they will be supervised by a licensed health professional while being monitored by their instructor. Among the work settings where they could be assigned are the hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities. During their practical nursing assistant training or internship, they will be asked to attend to the patients’ call, assist the patients in eating, dressing and bathing, observing the patients’ physical, mental and emotional conditions, provide basic care to patients and more.
