Learn How a Scanner Works

In explaining scanning for beginners, easy terms and concepts should be used. While trying to explain this technology to one of my coworkers, I tried to use simple terms. I began my tutorial with simply placing the document on the the glass and then closing the cover. I explained that a light is then used to light up the document. Next, I explained that when the scanner head moves across the document it is reflected by a mirror to another type of mirror. Finally, I stated that the image is then reflected to a lens.
