July 24, 2010 7:46 pm Travel and LeisureFuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands and seems almost remarkably untouched. Driving inland you will find some lovely, traditional restaurants serving some of the best Canarian food on the island. The beaches around the island are notorious, and Fuerteventura boasts some of the longest beaches in the Canaries. There are various museums to visit in addition to a beautifully well maintained Zoo and Cactus Garden. A Water Park is situated in the North in Corralejo along with a theme park and numerous activities for the kids. All in all, Fuerteventura has some thing to suit both families with children or couples of any age and nationality.
